MODA Makeover – Richmond, VA
A MODA (Minimally Operative Directed Aesthetics) Makeover are treatments that offer minimal incision, minimal recovery, and maximal results. These techniques are exclusive from board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Steve Montante for his patients in Virginia and beyond who are interested in minimally invasive anti-aging solutions that are long-lasting and more aggressive than non-surgical procedures. With these innovative combinations of aesthetics, he provides dramatic, but natural outcomes that allow you to accentuate your youthful beauty longer than traditional cosmetic treatments.
Moda is Italian for fashion and derives from the Latin word for “way or method of doing something.” The word perfectly captures the essence of Dr. Montante’s MODA Makeover, which uses the most advanced techniques. Dr. Montante tailors the procedures for each patient – evading any “one-size-fits-all” approach.
How Can a MODA Makeover Help You?
While this method can correct a number of signs of aging, most patients wish to correct the following:
- The appearance of jowls
- Tired-looking eyelids
- Loose skin at the neck (Turkey Neck)
- Undereye circles

What should you expect from a MODA Makeover?
MODA Makeovers are outpatient procedures done under general anesthesia or local sedation for your comfort. The operation lasts approximately two hours.
Depending on your aesthetic goals, your MODA Makeover may include liposuction on the neck and cheeks, fat grafting, a neck lift using minimal incisions, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), or laser resurfacing. The procedures Dr. Montante performs for a MODA Makeover offer small incisions with nominal risk, minimal recovery, and short downtime.
Dr. Montante’s MODA Makeover can address some of the early signs of aging on the upper face, like deepening tear troughs and excess skin on the upper and lower eyelids.
Injectables can target these issues, but the results are measured in months not years. Dr. Montante recommends facial fat grafting for a long-lasting, non-surgical solution to add volume to the eye area. He can perform this eyelid correction with a minimally invasive technique that removes excess skin from the eyelids. This procedure is better known as a pinch blepharoplasty.
Recovering from a MODA Makeover
Most of Dr. Montante’s patients can return to work within ten days after a MODA Makeover. Patients report little to no discomfort following these revolutionary treatments.
Minor bruising and swelling is to be expected but can be managed by cold compresses and keeping the head elevated at all times, including when you rest and sleep. We remove the sutures within a week, and you can resume your exercise regimen after one month.
If you’re looking for a long-term but minimally invasive solution to the signs of aging, a MODA Makeover may be ideal for you. Contact our office at (804) 325-4795 in Richmond for a consultation to find out more about this innovative solution.
